I just wanted to take a moment to thank Troup County Works for the assistance I got during my "career change" last March. I left my previous position on February 28, 2011. My husband saw the listing for Troup County Works in the LaGrange Daily News and suggested I give it a try. I logged in and discovered a training class was being conducted to help job seekers needing updated interviewing and resume skills. I attended the class and was very surprised to learn how much had changed since I was last involved in a job search. The help I got that day was invaluable over the following weeks as I submitted resumes. The resume help made it easier for me to get a "foot in the door" leading to an interview. Troup County Works pointed me towards several job openings that would be a perfect fit for me. I applied for two of the jobs they suggested and was offered both positions on the same day! Can you believe I actually had a choice? Did I mention that all of this happened for me within three weeks? Within a month I was sitting behind a desk at my new position; so thrilled that I found the Troup County Works website. I am now quite happily employed and so grateful to the help I received!
